These days, we find it irritating if Youtube ads do not match our interests or if Amazon recommends items with no relation to our purchasing preferences. Yet when it comes to education marketing, many schools are still approaching prospective students as a homogeneous group. This is especially true in Asia where to this day vast and diverse markets are often seen as simply India, China or Vietnam. But students expect everything to be hyper-personalised, let alone when they are spending tens of thousands of dollars and years of their life on higher education. This session looks at how recruitment and marketing can become more student-centred and more personalised. It also looks at how simple changes in data gathering practices can be instrumental in increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of attracting more as well as better fit students to campuses. In addition, the session offers insights into how over time you can build predictive models about the type of student profiles that will succeed at your institution, and ideas on how to build your marketing and recruitment strategies around that. This session gives three distinct but interrelated perspectives: Institutional from Humber College, content personalisation from eduKUDU and data management from Aduna.
