Having experienced the multi-year global shutdown and uncertain future the question of sustainable development of the tertiary education is a challenge which cannot be answered by the single institution or the country. New and innovation approaches are to be developed and shared. The session will suggest insights of three different partner universities that go beyond standard practices. HSE University, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) will share the challenges they faced and also the solutions found and results the new formats brought to the students of these higher education institutions. And how these new programmes and formats helped to enhance the universities’ sustainability, innovation and student experience. Learning Objectives: • New knowledge and case studies of innovative practices in programmes development, approaches and formats • Concrete example of activities fostering innovation of increasing awareness of social transformation and sustainable STGs • Lessons learnt from the new solutions and approaches implemented Target Audience: Middle and senior international officers in charge of partnership development and enrichment of student experience and teaching offer both for domestic and international students Target Audience Level: Intermediate, Advanced

Dr Yulia Grinkevich has 20+ years of experience in HE, works at the HSE University (Moscow) as a Director for Internationalisation. Her sphere of responsibilities currently focuses on internationalisation of the university environment, support for international professors and students, development of dual language environment at the university.

Biography

Hiroyuki Ishizaki is a Visiting Professor at Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT), a Japanese leading engineering school. His research interests include multidisciplinary teaching, cross-cultural competence, collaborative online international (COIL), technopreneurship, and project/problem-based learning methods. As a Director of the Malaysia Office, he has been expatriated in Malaysia since 2014 and leading internationalisation of SIT and its partner universities throughout South Eastern Asian regions.

Within 2007-2021 she held the position of the Director of International Relations Office at Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”.
