Details

Global research findings show employability is key for the current generation of students in their selection and recommendation of a higher education institution. This has resulted in a stronger focus of institutions on graduate outcomes. But how do we ensure as intled community we deliver globally competent graduates in a world where mobility is less obvious as it was before the pandemic? The pandemic has forced a rethink for internationalization of higher education. On top of that, the jobs of the future will not necessarily match the current disciplines, but rather will require a set of skills and attributes that institutions will need to embed in their curricula. Many of those skills are trained by student mobility. The global panel will focus on how institutions across the globe can ensure that the ‘world of work’ is embedded in everything they do. Supported by benchmarked global data the presentations will help us understand why employability should be a key component of any successful institution’s marketing mix creating brand ambassador alumni for your institution. We will bring in key recommendations and the institution presentations will explore how they have ensured that employability is central to their activities. Learning Objectives: • Learn from best practice across the globe to understand the different initiatives aimed at developing globally competent graduates in a variety of ways • Experience a data-rich session that will help support discussions in your own institution as to why and how globally competent graduate outcomes can be reached • Discuss how our post-pandemic world is changed and how we can maintain and grow the (internal) drivers for employability Target Audience: International Office, Graduate outcome/Career Support, M&R, Student Support Target Audience Level: Intermediate
