Registration Terms and Conditions

  • Full payment for registration fees must be received prior to the Symposium etc.
  • All prices are in Australian dollars and include Goods and Services Tax of 10%.
  • If you cancel your registration on or prior to the 20th of September 2024 you will receive a refund less a cancellation fee of AU$100. Cancellations made after the 20th of September 2024 are non-refundable.
  • The Privacy Act 1988 provides that, before your name and contact details can be published in a list of participants you must give your consent.  If you select ‘Yes, I do want my details to be included in the list of participants’ on the registration form or by email, your details may be distributed to:
    • Symposium delegates, sponsors and exhibitors  (note that if consent is given to have your details included in the List of Participants, it is likely that sponsors may add you to their mailing lists and send promotional emails to you).        
    • Organisers of future Adult Congenital Heart Disease events
  • If, for reasons beyond the control of the Organising Committee, the Symposium is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded after the deduction of expenses already incurred.
  • By registering for the Symposium, you are confirming consent for any video and photographs taken at the Symposium, in which you may appear, to be used by the Association in promotion of the Symposium.
  • By registering for the Symposium, you are consenting for your data to be used as per the “Data Consent Policy”. If you decide against your data being used, your registration will be cancelled less the cancellation fee above.

Information Presented at the Symposium

The information presented at the Symposium is solely intended for Health Care Professionals. 
You understand and agree that you are being provided with the information for educational and informational purposes only and that information will be provided to educate you on the latest scientific, clinical, therapeutic and educational advancements. 
You understand and agree that whilst the content is accessible worldwide, some content may be applicable to particular regions only, such as Australia and New Zealand. 

Although the Society strives to present only current and accurate information at its Symposium, you agree not to solely rely on this information or consider it to be any form of professional advice without additional independent review of its accuracy, completeness, efficacy, and timeliness. 
Any decisions as to how you use this information is in your sole discretion and the Society will not be liable for any issues that may arise from such use. 


Participant Conduct
You will conduct yourself in a professional manner that is free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
You will treat all participants with respect and consideration to create a collegial, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment at the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Symposium.


Legal Claim 
This agreement is subject to the law of Australia. In the event of any legal claims arising from either party, Australia shall be the sole court of jurisdiction. 


Program 
The Society reserve the right to modify the program, which is published as an indication only. 


Recordings 
The Society plans to record the Symposiums, which recording will be made available on the Symposium websites and for distribution to Symposium registrants. 
In addition, the Symposiums will be live-streamed. I acknowledge that photographs and/or videos may be taken of me and other attendees at any time during the Symposiums and may be used in media, including websites and print publications. 


Insurance

If you are travelling to the Symposium, it is strongly recommended that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover the duration of your visit.


Accommodation Terms and Conditions (if applicable)

  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include Goods and Services tax of 10%.
  • Rates provided for each of the hotels are specific to the Symposium dates only.
  • The Conference Company will provide you with an accommodation invoice including GST. The hotel will provide you with an additional tax invoice on check out for any incidental charges incurred during your stay. 

 

The Lord Byron

  • Full pre-payment is taken at the time of reservation.
  • Prior to 18 October 2024 you may cancel your reservation. If you cancel your reservation on or after 18 October 2024 or fail to check in on the arrival date you have specified your payment will not be refunded.
  • Room configurations are subject to availability. The requested configuration will be sent to the hotel but cannot be guaranteed.
  • This hotel requires a 2-night minimum stay over Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd nights at a rate of $499.00/per night. 
  • You will be asked to provide credit card details for pre-authorisation on check in.  If you do not wish to use your credit card then alternatively you can pay a deposit on check in.
  • You will be responsible for settling the remaining balance and any additional nights booked at the time of check in and any incidentals incurred upon departure. Please be advised the hotel may apply a surcharge to all credit card payments, payment by cash or EFTPOS will not incur a surcharge.
  • Check-in time is 3pm. Check-out time is 12pm.

Hotel Marvell

  • Full pre-payment is taken at the time of reservation.
  • Prior to 4 November 2024 this payment is refundable. If you cancel your reservation on or after 4 November 2024 or fail to check in on the arrival date you have specified this payment will not be refunded.
  • Room configurations are subject to availability. The requested configuration will be sent to the hotel but cannot be guaranteed.
  • You will be asked to provide credit card details for pre-authorisation on check in.  If you do not wish to use your credit card then alternatively you can pay a deposit on check in.
  • You will be responsible for settling the remaining balance and any additional nights booked at the time of check in and any incidentals incurred upon departure. Please be advised the hotel may apply a surcharge to all credit card payments, payment by cash or EFTPOS will not incur a surcharge.
  • Breakfast is included.
  • Check-in time is 2pm. Check-out time is 11am.

Crystalbrook Byron Bay

  • Full pre-payment is taken at the time of reservation.
  • If you cancel your booking prior to 19th July 2024 your booking will be released without charge. If you cancel you booking on or after 19th July 2024 to 17th September 2024 you will be subject to a cancellation fee equal to one nights accommodation. If you cancel your reservation on or after 17th September 2024 or fail to check in on the arrival date you have specified, you will be charged the full amount of your booking.
  • Room configurations are subject to availability. The requested configuration will be sent to the hotel but cannot be guaranteed.
  • You will be asked to provide credit card details for pre-authorisation on check in.  If you do not wish to use your credit card then alternatively you can pay a deposit on check in.
  • You will be responsible for settling the remaining balance and any additional nights booked at the time of check in and any incidentals incurred upon departure. Please be advised the hotel may apply a surcharge to all credit card payments, payment by cash or EFTPOS will not incur a surcharge.
  • Breakfast is $35.00 per person.
  • Check-in time is 3pm. Check-out time is 10am.
