Freya is a community-based diabetes prevention expert. Levi is an optometrist with a public health background. Tina's expertise combines preclinical and clinical CAM approaches to diabetes. Milan is a clinical academic endocrinologist with Type 2 diabetes and obesity interest. David is a global leader in diabetes epidemiology and service development.

Biography
Dr. Levi Osuagwu is a Senior Lecturer and Academic Lead at the Bathurst Rural Clinical School, Western Sydney University. He holds an OD from Abia State University, an MSc with Distinction from Aston University, and a PhD from Queensland University of Technology. A recognized public and eye health research expert, he has authored over 102 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Levi is President of the American Academy of Optometry-African Chapter and Board Director for the African Council of Optometry. He leads the African Translational Research Group and CEPHII, focusing on diabetes prevention, eye health, and public health interventions. His accolades include the Research Champion Award from African Australians in NSW and the WSU Research Support Grant.

Biography
Associate Professor Milan Piya is a clinical academic endocrinologist at the School of Medicine, Western Sydney University, and Campbelltown & Camden Hospitals. He is research lead for the multidisciplinary publicly funded South Western Sydney Metabolic Rehabilitation and Bariatric Program (SWS MRBP) based in Camden Hospital, NSW. His research focus is on obesity and Type 2 diabetes, particularly in the context of severe complex obesity and associated metabolic and mental health conditions. He is on the council of the Australia New Zealand Obesity Society (ANZOS) and chairs the Campbelltown and Camden Hospital Research Committee.

Distinguished Professor Simmons, is Professor of Medicine at Western Sydney University, Head of the Campbelltown Hospital Diabetes Service, current President of the Australasian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society and Chief Medical Officer for Diabetes Australia.

Biography
Dr Virginia Hagger is a senior lecturer and the course director for the Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education at Deakin University. She is a registered nurse and credentialled diabetes educator, with extensive experience in clinical care, education and research related to living with diabetes and health professional education. Virginia has postgraduate qualifications in public health, education and PhD (Psychology). Her research interests include structured self-management education, diabetes distress and psychological wellbeing, and diabetes education workforce development.
