Dr Virginia Hagger is a senior lecturer and the course director for the Graduate Certificate of Diabetes Education at Deakin University. She is a registered nurse and credentialled diabetes educator, with extensive experience in clinical care, education and research related to living with diabetes and health professional education. Virginia has postgraduate qualifications in public health, education and PhD (Psychology). Her research interests include structured self-management education, diabetes distress and psychological wellbeing, and diabetes education workforce development.
