ADEA Masterclass: Digital diabetes support: a focused approach for priority communities

Biography

Melinda Morrison is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Credentialled Diabetes Educator whose PhD examined postnatal lifestyle behaviours of women with gestational diabetes. Melinda has worked in diabetes education since 1996 and has a special interest in maternal health. Her current role is as the National Diabetes Service Scheme (NDSS) Diabetes in Pregnancy Program Manager. In this role she works closely with the NDSS Diabetes in Pregnancy Expert Reference Group in ensuring the delivery of up-to-date, evidence-based NDSS information and support for women with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes.

Biography

The National Diabetes Services Scheme is an initiative of the Australian Government, administered by Diabetes Australia. The purpose of the NDSS is to support self-management for Australians affected by diabetes. This is achieved through timely and affordable access to diabetes products, information and support to help people manage their diabetes.
