Registration Terms and Conditions

  • Full payment for registration fees must be received prior to the Congress.
  • All prices are in AUD and include Goods and Services Tax of 10%.
  • Super Earlybird registration closes on 3rd March 2024. If payment has not been received by this date, then standard rates will apply.
  • Regular Earlybird registration closes Monday 1st July 2024. If payment has not been received by this date, then standard rates will apply.
  • If you cancel your registration prior to 19th June 2024, you will receive a refund with a $25 admin fee.
  • If you cancel your registration between 20th June - 19th July 2024, you will receive a refund less a cancellation fee of $150. Cancellations made after this date are non-refundable.
  • If for reasons beyond the control of the organisers, the Congress is cancelled, registration fees will be refunded after the deduction of expenses already incurred.
  • By registering for the Congress you are confirming consent for any video and photographs taken at the Congress, in which you may appear, to be used by the Association in promotion of the Congress.
  • By registering for the Congress, you are consenting for your data to be captured and used as per the “Data Processing Consent Policy ”. If you have any queries or concerns regarding this please contact us at adc@theconferencecompany.com. 
  • The Privacy Act 1988 provides that, before your name and contact details can be published in a list of participants you must give your consent. If you select ‘Yes, I do want my details to be included in the list of participants’ in an online form or by email, your details may be distributed to:
    • Congress delegates, sponsors and exhibitors (note that if consent is given to have your details included in the List of Participants, it is likely that sponsors may add you to their mailing lists and send promotional emails to you).
    • Organisers of future ADEA or ADS events.

Participant Conduct

You will conduct yourself in a professional manner that is free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
You will treat all participants with respect and consideration to create a collegial, respectful, inclusive, and professional environment at the Australasian Diabetes Congress 2024.

Legal Claim

This agreement is subject to the law of Australia. In the event of any legal claims arising from either party, Australia shall be the sole court of jurisdiction. 

Program 

ADEA and ADS reserve the right to modify the program, which is published as an indication only.

Accommodation Terms and Conditions

• Prices are in Australian dollars and include Goods and Services tax of 10%.
• A credit card guarantee is taken at the time of booking. The credit card will be charged by the hotel as specified below.
• Rates provided for each of the hotels are specific to the Congress dates only.

Adina Apartment Hotel Perth Barrack Plaza

  • Individual bookings
    • A credit card guarantee is required to secure your booking. Your credit card details will be securely provided to charge 1 nights accommodation on or after 2 August 2024. Full payment for the remainder of your accommodation will be required on check-in at the hotel.  Any additional costs and incidentals incurred whilst at the hotel are to be paid on check-out
    • If you cancel your booking on or after 18 July 2024, you will be charged an attrition fee of 1 night accommodation. If you cancel your booking on or after 2 August 2024 or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the hotel will charge the credit card 100% cancellation fee equal to the total amount of room nights booked
  • Group bookings
    • Credit Card details are required to secure group bookings of 8 or more rooms.  The credit card details will be securely provided to the hotel to guarantee the reservations and one nights accommodation per room will be charged on or after 2 August 2024.Full payment for the remainder of your accommodation will be required on check-in at the hotel.  Any additional costs and incidentals incurred whilst at the hotel are to be paid on check-out
    • If the group is cancelled between 17 May 2024 and 18 July 2024, the credit card supplied as guarantee will be charged 20% of the full amount owed for accommodation.  If the group or individual within the group cancels their reservation on or after 18 July 2024 or fail to check in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as guarantee will be charged the full amount owed for accommodation.
  • All guests will be required to provide credit card details for pre-authorisation on check-in. If the guest does not wish to use their credit card then a deposit will be required on check-in
  • All guests are responsible for settling the remaining balance and any additional nights booked while at the hotel and any incidentals incurred upon departure. Please be advised the hotel will apply a surcharge of 1.2% to all credit card payments, payment by cash or EFTPOS will not incur a surcharge.  
  • Free Wi-Fi with unlimited downloads (up to 4 devices per room) with option to upgrade to high speed at a cost.
  • Check-in time is 3:00pm. Check-out time is 11:00am

  • Individual bookings

    • If you cancel your booking on or after 18 July 2024 you will be charged an attrition fee of 1 nights accommodation. If you cancel on or after 2 August or fail to check-in on the arrival date you have specified the hotel will charge the credit card 100% cancellation fee equal to the total amount of room nights booked
  • Group bookings
    • Credit Card details are required to secure group bookings of 8 or more rooms. The credit card details will be securely provided to the hotel to guarantee your reservation.  Full payment will be required on check-in at the hotel.  Any additional costs and incidentals incurred whilst at the hotel are to be paid on check-out
    • If the group is cancelled between 17 May 2024 and 18 July 2024, the credit card supplied as guarantee will be charged 20% of the full amount owed for accommodation.  If the group or individual within the group cancels their reservation on or after 18 July 2024 or fail to check in on the arrival date you have specified the credit card supplied as guarantee will be charged the full amount owed for accommodation.
