Abstract

Biography

Minpeng Chen is a full professor at Renmin University of China and serves as the co-chair of the World Adaptation Science Programme (WASP). Her research focuses on the impacts of adaptation to climate change and mitigation policies in the agricultural sector. She has published over 70 peer-reviewed papers and works closely with key stakeholders, both globally and nationally.

Dr. Li Renqiang is an associate professor at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has led over 40 major projects and published more than 50 papers. His research focuses on systematic biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation strategies in China.

Teng Fei is a professor and Deputy Director at Tsinghua University’s Institute of Energy, Environment and Economy. He holds B.E., M.S., and PhD in Management Science and Engineering. His research focuses on integrated assessment modelling, energy systems, and climate policy. He was a lead author of the IPCC Reports.

Wang Shaohua is a professor at CAS Innovation Institute for Aerospace Information and deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Remote Sensing and Digital Earth. He specializes in intelligent remote sensing, spatiotemporal big data analysis, and geospatial computing, with postdoctoral work at UCSB, UIUC, and ASU.

Dr. Guozheng Hu is an associate research fellow on the climate change and GHG mitigation. Led 12 national and provincial-level projects. As first/corresponding-author, published 21 papers. Developed carbon assessment tools based on IPCC inventory method, contributed to China’s UNFCCC reports.

Dr. Yewen Liu is a PhD student in Management Science and Engineering (Energy Economics) . Her research focuses on energy economics and low-carbon management, particularly the water–energy–food–carbon nexus, carbon accounting, and industrial pathways of resource use. She has published on the trade–environment nexus and is preparing further work on water–energy–food synergies to support low-carbon transition strategies.
