Biography

Alix conducts qualitative research on health, climate change, and humanitarian action. She consults on climate and health at the World Bank and co-founded Planet.Health. She holds an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an MSc in Management from ESSEC Business School. Nilanjana is a Doctoral candidate at York University’s Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change. Her research explores the gendered health impacts of climate change in Malawi using a systems thinking and participatory approach. She holds degrees in environmental studies and biotechnology and has eight years of corporate experience in mining.

Zhiting is a PhD candidate at the NZ Centre for Sustainable Cities, University of Otago, researching climate-induced indoor overheating risks. Her work examines housing disparity, energy poverty, and public health impacts, providing evidence to inform adaptation strategies for the built environment and housing policies in a warming climate.

Isabella Lenihan-Ikin (she/her) is a DPhil candidate at the University of Oxford, where she is studying on a Rhodes Scholarship form Aotearoa New Zealand. Her research focuses on the health impacts of climate change on outdoor workers in Aotearoa.

Biography

I have completed a Masters in Sociology from Canterbury University, New Zealand, and completed my PhD from the University of Wollongong in Australia. I worked as a Senior Researcher for the Bhutan Indigenous Knowledge and Development project funded by IDRC, Canada. The themes were Climate Change and Gender transformative approaches.
